typhoon.jpgThe Typhoon Common Rail Diesel Tuning Box is a simplified piggyback that works on Common Rail diesel vehicles such as Toyota Hilux, Ford Ranger, Mitsubishi Triton, Isuze D-max and Toyota Fortuner.

Typhoon was developed and manufactured in Germany after extensive research and development. The focus of the product is to develop more usable power and torque for common diesel engines for the Asian market with the initial concentration on the Toyota Hilux and Toyota Fortuner. The Typhoon is easy to install and easy to use and does not require complex installation or rewiring of any components.

The Typhoon’s casing is made of high grade aluminium that is able to withstand extreme heat and is water resistant. The Typhoon comes with factory standard connector plugs for the Toyota Hilux and Fortuner making it easy for installation. Typical installation only takes 5 minutes.

From road test and dyno tests conducted by the manufacturer on a Toyota Hilux 2.5 Turbo diesel (with no intercooler) the power increased by 17% and the torque increased by 30Nm. On a separate test on the Hilux 3.0 intercooled turbo diesel, the power gains was an impressive 47bhp over stock and the torque increased by 80Nm!

The Typhoon was designed to be transferable from one common rail diesel car to another as the internal computer can be reprogrammed to suit other common rail diesel vehicles.

1.       What is Typhoon tuning box?

Answer: It is a tuning device for common rail diesel engines to boost power, torque and fuel efficiency

2.       Will it void my warranty?

Answer: No, it is purely plug and play and does not require any cutting of wires or modification of engine parts. It can be easily removed when necessary. It will not show any changes when the car is scanned with the diagnostic reader.

3.       Will it damage my car engine?

Answer: No, it will not affect engine operation or shorten its life span. The engine has a lot more tolerance available and Typhoon will make the engine more efficient in terms of power production.

4.       Will it affect my fuel consumption?

Answer: Under normal driving conditions the fuel consumption will remain the same.

5.       Can the Typhoon be tuned for future performance gain?

Answer: Yes, it can push the performance further but there is a limit. Each car has a certain level of tolerance for performance improvement which will range from 30% to 35% thus Typhoon can be used to push the performance up to this limit.

6.       If I sell my current car can I transfer it to my new car?

Answer: Yes it can be used on another vehicle provided it is a common rail diesel engine. We can supply the new cable set and reconfigure the Typhoon unit to suit the new vehicle.

7.       What is the warranty on the Typhoon?

Answer: It comes with a 2 years warranty and is made in Germany and fully tested before it leaves the factory.

8.       How good is it compared to other brands in the market?

Answer: It is currently used by several cross country rally teams in Thailand and Germany as a testament to its quality and performance. It is also water resistant and currently the most value for money tuning box in the market.  Why pay more to get less?!
