Not that I’m complaining, but my visits to the petrol pump comes quite too regularly. So when Automotive Synergy called up to have their product tested by yours truly, I jumped at the chance. The product in question is the EPS (Efficient Power System) that primarily functions as a fuel saving device. Apart from that, it is also claims to help in reducing the amount of noxious gas from your exhaust, decrease vibration, lessen carbon deposit, reduce maintenance cost, increase engine power and works perfectly well with both petrol and diesel engines.
What I like most about the EPS is that installation simply requires the unit to be clipped on to the car’s fuel line without any messy and time consuming process. In fact, it took only about 2 minutes before I was gone to begin the review. Anyone can do it themselves provided your car’s fuel line is accessible, if not it is better to head to the nearest EPS dealer.
Incredibly, the power increase was immediate. But to be fair, it wasn’t dramatic. Yet, it was apparent and surprising. Throttle felt a little lighter with the power increase most felt at the higher gears with an additional top speed by around 10km/h. This I had the pleasure to experience when I did a speed run to KLIA. The difference was so unexpected that I went even faster on the return trip. As for the fuel saving abilities, I noticed a slight difference in consumption in the short while I’ve been using it. According to Automotive Synergy, the effect will increase after roughly a 1000 kilometers or less for the run-in time depending on engine condition. Why so? Well some engines have some much carbon deposit buildup that time is necessary to basically flush it all out.

Part 2 of the Hypertune review
Our last issue featured our product test on a fuel saver system distributed by Automotive Synergy. Imported from the UK, the EPS (Efficient Power System) is extremely easy to install and require no maintenance. In the previous article, Hypertune found that the product also helped in improving engine response and increasing the top end. After a full month of using the product, here we would like to elaborate on its fuel saving claims. We found that it does so rather well in fact. According to our calculations, under city driving conditions users might experience fuel savings of around 10 percent savings. Of course that is still depending on driving habits.
